Her
first book, "Papa's
House, Mama's House" (2004 Philippine
Board on Books for Young People Alfredo Salanga
Prize for Children's Literature, Adarna; and 2005
Manila Critics Circle National Book Awards finalist)
deals with marital separation and questions the
concept of a "broken home".

Her second book, " Tight
Times" (2007 Philippine Board on

for Children's Literature, Adarna; and 2008
Manila Critics Circle National Book Awards finalist)
addresses economic hardship and how having very
little money doesn't always mean being "poor".
Her latest
book, "My
One Boobed Mamma" (LIving Waters, 2008),
goes international as it was recently published
in the United States and released last October
in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The
book's theme is on how a mother deals with her
breast cancer and how her daughter learns about
coping with the disease gracefully and with
spirit, and what it means to be a real woman.
